AIDS in New York: The First Five Years

An exhibit chronicling the beginning of the AIDS epidemic in New York is currently on display at the New-York Historical Society in New York City.

amfAR donated a couple of items on display at AIDS in New York: The First Five Years, which explores the impact of the epidemic on personal lives, public health and medical practice, culture, and politics in New York City and the nation. The exhibit features posters, photographs, and artifacts to tell the story of the early years of AIDS in New York from the archives of the New York Public Library, New York University, and the National Archive of LGBT History. AIDS in New York: The First Five Years runs through September 15, 2013.
