TREAT Asia 2010 Network Meeting
The 10th TREAT Asia Annual Network Meeting was held on 14–18 October 2010 in Bali, Indonesia. More than 140 participants from 16 countries around the globe participated in the meeting, representing clinical sites, academic centers, donors, laboratories, and other partners.
Meeting participants heard a variety of presentations, including:
- Dr. Annette Sohn, director, TREAT Asia, Thailand: “State of the Network—2010.”
- Dr. Jeffrey Laurence, senior scientific consultant for programs, amfAR, and professor of medicine, Weill Cornell Medical College, U.S.: “Approaching a cure for AIDS.”
- Dr. Benjamin Linas, instructor of medicine, Harvard Medical School, U.S.: “Cost-effectiveness research: What it can tell us about monitoring ART in resource-limited settings.”
- Dr. Kenneth Mayer, professor of medicine and community health, Brown University, U.S.: “Antiretrovirals for prevention: Opportunities and challenges for TREAT Asia.”
