Cinema Against AIDS Cannes 2009

amfAR’s 16th Cinema Against AIDS gala, held May 21, 2009, during the Cannes International Film Festival, drew a crowd of more than 800 to the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France. President Bill Clinton and amfAR Chairman Kenneth Cole delivered remarks and Annie Lennox performed two of her hits, while amfAR Global Fundraising Chairman Sharon Stone, Harvey Weinstein, and a number of other celebrities in attendance presided over the live auction. Other guests included Marion Cotillard, Danny Glover, Eva Green, Josh Hartnett, Emile Hirsch, Elizabeth Hurley, Joshua Jackson, Diane Kruger, Hayden Panettiere, Robert Pattinson, Robin Wright Penn, amfAR ambassador Michelle Yeoh, 50 Cent, and others.  The event was presented by Bold Films, Palisades Tartan, and The Weinstein Company, and co-sponsored by Chopard, Hewlett-Packard Company, and Luxury Limited Edition.
