Meeting the HIV-Related Needs of Gay Men and Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM) Worldwide

MSM in developing countries are 19 times more likely to be living with HIV/AIDS than the general population and fewer than one in 20 MSM have access to lifesaving HIV/AIDS care.

amfAR’s policy office works closely with amfAR’s MSM Initiative to advocate expanded access to HIV prevention and treatment services for MSM worldwide, and to fight the stigma and discrimination that make MSM more vulnerable to HIV infection and inhibit equal access to care.
