David Brannon

David Brannon is unquestionably what the entertainment industry historically dubbed a “Triple Threat” with an entertainment career that spans an astounding 30 years! David originally began his interest in the fine arts as a precocious seven-year-old. It was his 3rd grade teacher who first recognized his untapped talents. After sharing her revelation with David’s parents, it was not long before he was enrolled in The Marie Reed School Ballet Program where he became a principal. David started to display other gifts in the fine arts, and this is ultimately where his life really began. David’s budding gift was sketching and painting. However, his unbridled devotion to theater took precedence and he continued the pursuit for the next 20 years, completely unaware that his life would bring him back full circle to the Visual Arts.

After years of performing as a dancer, he damaged his fibula, fractured his tibia and a meniscus completely tore away from his knee. It was during the recovery process that David began sketching and painting again to stave off feelings of depression. David founded the visual arts company Visual Transformations to synthesize all his creative endeavors that involve bringing visual images to life – through photography, sketching and painting. Visual Transformations has produced two art shows, the first in 2005 and the other 2007, showcasing paintings of friends and celebrities, while raising funds for the Keep A Child Alive and Long Beach Rescue Mission charities. Trained by his mother, David has an unconventional method using cosmetics to create his lifelike pieces. Today his work has been seen for such organizations as ESPN, KTLA5, Spectrum News, The Black AIDS Institute, and The GRAMMY Recording Academy.
