amfAR Report Details How PEPFAR Support Allowed Governments to Strengthen Health Systems

New York, NY- March 31, 2025 — In a new report, amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, details how domestic healthcare spending and local capacity growth in PEPFAR supported countries has outpaced growth in non-PEPFAR supported countries. The findings show per capita spending increased 353% in PEPFAR supported countries, as opposed to just 189% in non-PEPFAR supported countries over 15 years.
