Danielle Alexandra is an American businesswoman, social entrepreneur and technology investor. A philanthropist and human rights activist, she has raised millions of dollars on behalf of organizations working in the areas of education, mental health, homelessness, trafficking, and social justice.
Ms. Alexandra is CEO of the London Film and Television Group, and Founder and CEO of the Global View Television Partnership, a creative digital content company based in London, Los Angeles, and Silicon Valley. She has had a 35-year career in the film and television industry, and has scripted and produced films and television shows for Universal, Warner Brothers, Fox, Paramount, Sony, Disney, and the major streaming platforms, and in partnership with her US company, The Boston Film Group. Her credits include the award-winning television series My Two Dads, which she created, Quantum Leap, Chicago Hope, and multiple television pilots.
She was the writer and executive producer of the movie G.I. Jane, directed by Ridley Scott. She has also written, produced or funded multiple documentaries, among them the acclaimed Polar Girl, whichfollows the youngest girl ever to walk to the North Pole and inspired young girls to believe that they could achieve any aspiration. In 2014, she was appointed by Prime Minister David Cameron as the UK Business Ambassador for Film, Television and Global Digital New Media.
Ms. Alexandra is the founder of the Great Britain Youth Inspiration Award presented by HRH the Duke of Cambridge on behalf of homeless youth. She has also served as chair of the Development Board for HRH the Duke of Cambridge’s patron charity, Centrepoint, which provides services for homeless and unemployed youth, and she served for 12 years on the Los Angeles Council for Homelessness.
Ms. Alexandra is chair of the NXP Foundation, which produces the annual Women’s Leadership Conference on STEM and provides grants for young women in STEM fields in the US. In addition, she chairs the prestigious NXP Foundation Prize, a nationally recognized award for Women’s Leadership in STEM. Most recently, Ms. Alexandra launched the Millennial Voice Project, a powerful documentary television series that gives voice to young people across the US.
Ms. Alexandra has served as a visiting professor in Advanced Screenwriting at the American Film Institute, visiting professor at UCLA Graduate School of Film, and currently serves as a Trustee Professor at Chapman University and as a director of the Dodge School of Film. She is an honors graduate of Harvard University, where she studied government and constitutional law.
