Michelle Yeoh amfAR World AIDS Day

Dear Friend,

I am writing to you today with a message that is deeply personal and profoundly important. As someone who has had the honor of working with amfAR for many years, I have witnessed both heart-wrenching loss and incredible triumph in the battle against AIDS. I have seen the faces of those we have lost, and I have met the resilient individuals who continue to fight this disease with courage and grace.

I believe in a future where AIDS is no longer a threat, where every person can live without the fear of this devastating disease. This belief is what drives my commitment to amfAR, an organization that embodies hope and tenacity in the fight against AIDS.

On this World AIDS Day, we honor the lives we have lost to AIDS and stand in solidarity with those who are still living with it. amfAR’s mission is more critical than ever, as they continue to push the boundaries of research and innovation to find a cure.

Currently, there are 40 million people living with HIV globally, a staggering number that underscores the scale of this epidemic. Every 30 seconds someone is newly infected with HIV, and we lost over 600,000 lives to this illness last year alone. These statistics are not just numbers—they represent friends, family members, and loved ones whose lives have been irrevocably affected by this disease.

One of the most inspiring aspects of amfAR’s work is their unwavering commitment to a cure. They are at the forefront of research, funding groundbreaking studies that are changing the landscape of HIV/AIDS treatment.

But amfAR’s work extends beyond the lab. They are fierce advocates for the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS, fighting against stigma and discrimination, and ensuring that everyone has access to life-saving treatments.

My partnership with amfAR has shown me the power of community and the impact of collective action. Their relentless pursuit of cutting-edge research and compassionate care for those affected by HIV/AIDS is truly inspiring. It is why I remain dedicated to this cause and why I am reaching out to you today.

Your support is vital in this fight. By making a special World AIDS Day donation to amfAR, you are honoring those we have lost and providing much-needed resources to those who are still battling this disease.

Thank you for standing with us and for your commitment to a brighter, healthier future. Together, we can turn the tide against AIDS and bring hope to millions around the world.

With gratitude,

Michelle Yeoh

P.S. When you give in honor of World AIDS Day, and anonymous donor will match your gift, dollar for dollar, up to $75,000. Your contribution will have twice the impact. So I hope you will as generously as you can.
