Palm Beach, FL, February 10, 2025 — amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, will return to Palm Beach on Saturday, March 15, 2025, thanks to the generosity of philanthropist and supporter Ken Griffin. Martha Stewart will be honored at this year’s gala with amfAR’s Award of Inspiration, and Andrea and Steve Wynn will be presented with the Philanthropic Leadership Award. Iconic model and longtime amfAR supporter Coco Rocha will host the evening.
“Throughout her distinguished career, Martha Stewart has been an extremely generous supporter of a wide range of organizations and causes,” said amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost. “Her longstanding commitment to human health and welfare through initiatives like the Martha Stewart Center for Living inspires us all and we are proud to recognize her work.”
“We are also thrilled to have the opportunity to present Andrea and Steve Wynn with amfAR’s Philanthropic Leadership Award for their exceptional contributions to advancing scientific discovery and healthcare innovation,” said Frost. “Their extraordinary generosity to a wide range of causes and organizations, particularly in the healthcare arena, has profoundly enriched countless lives.”
In addition to the award presentations, the exclusive event will feature a special performance by multiple Grammy-winning icon Ricky Martin, who stars in the TV series Palm Royale. It will also include a cocktail reception, a seated dinner, and a live auction of exquisite contemporary art, luxury items, and one-of-a-kind experiences.
“We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Palm Beach community and to all of the generous friends, supporters, and sponsors who make this stellar event possible,” said amfAR Board Co-Chairs T. Ryan Greenawalt and Kevin McClatchy. “We’re especially grateful to Ken Griffin for his support of the 2025 gala, which will no doubt be every bit as memorable as our first three events and just as successful in raising critical funds to advance amfAR’s lifesaving work.”
Event chairs include Ken Griffin, Lisa and James Cohen, T. Ryan Greenawalt and Joey Licitra, Dee and Tommy Hilfiger, Michele and Howard Kessler, Dr. Dana and Robert Kraft, Caroline and Omeed Malik, Kevin McClatchy and Jack Basilone, and Amy and John Phelan.
Previous participants and performers at amfAR Palm Beach include Dionne Warwick, Christina Aguilera, Sting, Kelly Clarkson, Tommy and Dee Hilfiger, Julianna Margulies, Tom Ford, Jane Lynch, and Jane Krakowski.
Since its launch in 2022, the Palm Beach gala has rapidly become a key source of funding in support of amfAR’s mission, raising over $12 million in just three years. The support from the Palm Beach community has been exceptional, united by the common goal of curing HIV while addressing other infectious disease threats. The past three events have been graciously hosted by Amy & John Phelan, Michele & Howard Kessler, and Lisa & James Cohen at their respective residences, with the leadership of amfAR Board Co-Chairs, T. Ryan Greenawalt and Kevin McClatchy.
The evening’s signature sponsor is The Colony Hotel. This event will be generously supported by Chateau Malartic Lagraviere, Flecha Azul Tequila, Aspen Vodka, and Fraser & Thompson.
Renowned event designer Bronson van Wyck of Van Wyck & Van Wyck will spearhead the creative vision for the evening, bringing style and artistry to every detail.
