Educational Materials on Human Papillomavirus
HIV-positive children in Asia are growing up into adolescence and becoming sexually active, putting them at risk for acquiring sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is the primary cause of cervical and anal cancer, and HIV-positive people are much more likely to develop these HPV-related cancers than their HIV-negative counterparts. TREAT Asia’s HPV in Adolescents Study is aiming to understand how and when HIV-positive adolescents acquire HPV to help guide HPV prevention efforts and vaccination strategies.
The flip chart below includes information about the specific study procedures and general information about HPV and testing for STIs. It is available in English, Thai, and Vietnamese. For more information, please contact info@treatasia.org.
